Adding a New Action

  1. On the toolbar, click Changesets to open the Changesets page.
  2. On the Changesets page, click Add Action.

The actions category dialog box appears.

  1. Click the category for your actions.

Based on the category that you select, the fields for actions change.

  1. Enter or select appropriate action and action types.
  2. After selecting all required values, the action is added on the Changeset page.
  1. After adding the action, click on the pencil icon on the action bar to edit the label of the action.
  1. To set the property values for the action, click on the Add Property drop-down list and provide the appropriate value in the input field. All available properties for the selected action are shown.

For an action of type “update” or “delete”, the object to be modified must be specified.

  1. Click the pencil icon to open the action in edit mode.

By default, the method is set to “Define a query” with a text field to specify the query.

Note: When using a query, if the query matches multiple objects, the change will be applied to all matched objects. This is useful for performing the same change to multiple objects. Always check the Changeset with Simulate Run

  1. Click the left drop down box and select Select an Object.
  2. In the drop-down field, select the object that you want to update.
  1. After selecting the required object, click the tick icon to save the changes and close the edit mode.

For details on how to select the object, see the ‘Reference Properties’ section.
