We provide a simplified connection to your Genesys environment through locally running a single file java application called InProd Aft. The local installation of this component means all configuration changes performed when offline will continue to be recorded and automatically resynced once the system is back online.
InProd Aft also removes the need for a static public IP address and inbound firewall rules, making the set up equally simple and flexible.
The Aft application creates and maintains an outbound TCP session with the cloud service that acts as a point to point VPN. This is a single port TCP SSL encrypted tunnel with authentication to ensure your data is secure and prevent unauthorized access.
Assuming outbound TCP sessions are permitted within your environment, there are no firewall changes required. It is also possible to setup a dedicated VPN and use the premise Aft version if there are additional security requirements.
The Aft application is configured within the Genesys Configuration server and behaves like a normal Genesys component. The service is started via the Genesys Management layer (ie GAX or GA) and offers the traditional Genesys High Availability model.
To gain access to all objects within your environment a Genesys service account is used. Using Genesys permissions it is possible to set the level access that InProd has on your environment.
